Product description
This servo motor rotates an output shaft to a specified angle and automatically holds the position. A DC motor drives the shaft via plastic gears, while a potentiometer detects the current position. The internal control electronics adjusts the motor until the desired position is reached.
The control signal is sent via PWM over a single signal wire; a digital output from a microcontroller is sufficient. The pulse length directly determines the rotation angle. All three wires (power, signal, ground) run through the JR-compatible connector, so only one plug connection is required.
The low weight of 9 g and compact size enable use in lightweight mechanisms such as camera mounts, model vehicle steering systems, or robotics prototypes. The stall torque is not sufficient for permanently high loads or continuous rotation.
Operation is possible at voltages between 3.5 and 6 V. Connection to 5 V microcontroller boards is possible, as is connection to 4.8 V battery packs in model vehicles. If you work with 3.3 V systems, you should check the lower voltage limit, as performance decreases there.
Safety information
Incorrect polarity can damage the servo; check the connector pin assignment before connecting it. The gears can be damaged by overloading or a jammed shaft; do not turn the shaft against its stop. This product is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes, not for continuous operation in household power circuits.
