Product description

The flanged linear bearing is a rolling-element bearing for linear movements on smooth round shafts. The flanged design enables direct attachment to flat surfaces or structural elements such as aluminum profiles or supports. With a 12 mm inner bore, a length of 21 mm, and a flange outer diameter of 30 mm, it fits shafts with a 12 mm diameter and requires only a small mounting area.

The bearing contains four ball circuits per direction, enabling smooth, level sliding without backlash. The open design without seals keeps friction low and operates with relatively little lubricant. However, it requires a relatively clean environment and regular relubrication. The maximum permissible speed is 6000 rpm under continuous load.

Examples of use include linear axes in laboratory equipment, moving components in 3D printers, or positioning tables in test setups. The bearing also performs well in robot arm joints and simple manufacturing machines with linear motion sequences. Wherever shafts need to be guided in multiple sets at low cost, this standard bearing is a suitable choice.

The bearing requires a clean round shaft made of steel or hard plastic. Worn or bent shafts lead to uneven loading and wear. Lubricant is required for operation, either mineral oil or grease depending on the speed and ambient temperature. Shafts with a diameter greater than 12 mm require a suitably larger bearing.
