Stainless steel extruder gear - Ø 5 mm shaft, for 1.75 mm filament
Description
Product overview
- Stainless steel drive gear for filament extruders in 3D printers
- 5 mm shaft diameter, suitable for common extruder motors
- Teeth engage with 1.75 mm filament, the standard filament diameter
- Highly wear-resistant due to the stainless steel material
- 10 meters of filament included as a reference measure for wear
Product description
This stainless steel extruder gear replaces worn or damaged drive gears in 3D printers. The toothed surface grips the filament and transports it through the print head's heating zone. The 5 mm shaft pin fits common extruder motors with this pin locking mechanism.
The stainless steel material withstands the constant pressure and friction caused by the plastic material significantly longer than plastic-reinforced or softer teeth. As a result, recalibration of the extrusion pressure is required less often, and print quality remains consistent for longer.
The set includes ten meters of reference filament to indicate how much material a gear typically feeds before wearing out. Replacement becomes necessary when the gear begins to bite into or slip on the filament, or when the printer continuously deposits too little material. Simple 3D printing projects, high-resolution miniature parts, or low-maintenance production runs benefit most from the stable tooth shape.
Safety information
Disconnect the printer from the power supply and allow it to cool completely before replacement. Wear gloves when handling the sharp teeth and any components that are still hot. This replacement wear part is intended exclusively for operating 3D printers in private or commercial prototyping.
