- Compact housing with sensor and LED in a single unit
Product description
The infrared sensor operates according to the reflective light principle: an integrated infrared LED emits light that is reflected back to the sensor by objects. A photodetector captures this reflected light and switches the digital output when an object comes within range. This enables reliable obstacle detection without the need for calibration.
With a maximum detection range of 80 cm, the sensor is suitable for robot navigation, obstacle detection in automated vehicles, or distance monitoring for arms and manipulators. It can also be used as a door opener sensor or for object detection on production equipment. The digital interface provides an immediately processable signal.
The sensor requires a 5 V power supply and outputs obstacle detection as a digital signal. The housing combines the sensor optics and control electronics in a compact design, making integration into confined spaces easier. Operation requires only a 5 V power source and a connection to a digital input of a microcontroller board.
Safety information
This sensor is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. The device is not intended for installation in the household power circuit. Ensure correct polarity when connecting the power supply, as reverse polarity may cause damage.
