Product description
The sensor measures temperatures via a digital 1-Wire interface, allowing multiple sensors to be connected in parallel to the same data line, which significantly reduces the number of connections required on the microcontroller. The long cable enables measurements at remote locations without the need for extension cables.
The component provides readings with a resolution of up to 0.0625 °C. Conversion is performed digitally, without external resistors or calibration. The measurement range of −55 to +125 °C covers outdoor and indoor applications as well as moderate temperature ranges in technical processes.
Typical applications include temperature monitoring in greenhouses or rooms, process control for containers and pipes, monitoring heating and cooling elements, or recording soil temperature profiles using multiple distributed sensors.
A microcontroller board with 1-Wire support or a correspondingly programmed GPIO is required. Power is supplied via the data line (parasitic power) or a separate pin; current consumption is below 2 mA. The IP67 capsule also allows use in damp environments, but not in continuously wet conditions.
