Product description
The DOBOT Magician is a compact articulated robot arm for learning projects and prototype development. With five controlled axes, the robot handles pick-and-place applications such as gripping, transporting, and precisely placing objects. The integrated camera enables automatic object recognition, allowing targeted motion sequences without manual coordinate input.
Programming is carried out using a visual block-based language, making it easier for beginners to get started; in addition, every movement can be recorded through manual guidance and played back automatically later. The 450 mm radius working area covers workstations up to this size. The arm operates reliably with objects weighing up to 500 g; heavier loads require a different approach.
The Egg Factory learning module provides a scenario in which the robot sorts objects by size, color, or shape and transports them to predefined positions. This project teaches the basic concepts of robot control, image processing, and logistics process optimization in a playful context. The device requires an external power supply for operation; it must be installed on a level, non-slip surface to prevent shifting during movements.
