Product Description
The DOBOT Magician collaborative robot can be expanded with gripper modules attached via a quick-change interface. This vacuum gripper module uses negative pressure to grip objects without mechanically enclosing them. This also makes it possible to handle delicate or differently sized objects that could be damaged by a rigid grip.
The module can lift up to 500 grams and works with the DOBOT Magician's existing axes of motion. Control is provided through the robot's standard programming interface, so no separate interface is required. Vacuum-controlled grippers require an external pump to generate negative pressure; this must be purchased and connected separately as needed.
Typical tasks include sorting objects into containers, transferring small parts between workstations, or loading trays in training scenarios. In project-based lessons, the module demonstrates the principle of automation with variable gripping technology without requiring expensive specialized equipment.
A DOBOT Magician robot with up-to-date control software is required. A vacuum pump must be purchased separately, as must hoses and vacuum suction cups for the specific application. The maximum gripping load of 500 grams and the robot's reach define the operating limits.
