Product description
A digital caliper is a length-measuring instrument for measuring diameters, gaps, grooves, and depths within a measuring range of up to 150 mm. The LCD display shows the measured values with a resolution of 0.01 mm, which is sufficient for craft and technical applications in the workshop or prototype development.
Measurement is taken by moving the movable jaw against the object being measured; digital measurement eliminates parallax errors when reading analog scales. A simple zero reset resets the display without adjusting the caliper itself. Switching between millimeters and inches enables flexible operation depending on the requirements or documentation.
The caliper is suitable for recurring measurement tasks in the workshop, when building prototypes for electronic projects, and during quality assurance of manufactured or purchased components. It saves time when checking hole diameters, enclosure dimensions, or component tolerances.
Power is supplied by a button cell (typically CR2032), which lasts for several years. The steel rails provide sufficient rigidity for accurate measurements, but should be protected from dirt. After extended storage, a function test using known reference standards is recommended.
Safety information
The device is intended exclusively for measurement purposes and not for working on electrical cables or installations. If handled improperly, the measuring surfaces may become misaligned and thereby lose accuracy. Store the measuring instrument in a dry place protected from impacts.
