Product Description
A D-Sub adapter with female contacts connects two standard D-Sub cables or extends existing connections. The adapter concept eliminates the need to replace entire cables and enables flexible reconfiguration of wiring.
Both sides of the adapter are designed as 15-pin socket headers. Depending on the design of the connection headers, wiring is done using direct pin soldering or plug connections. The metal housing provides protection against electromagnetic interference and contributes to mechanical stability.
The adapter is used for parallel interface expansions on older computer systems, in the wiring of measuring and control devices, or as a connection element in laboratory setups. Where multiple D-Sub devices are connected to a single line, this adapter saves space compared with tangled cables.
Depending on the design of the socket headers, pin groups, individual pin wires, or standard D-Sub connectors are required for connection. The locking bolts keep the adapter securely in position even under vibration.
