Product Description
This camera module connects directly to the camera interface of a single-board computer and captures images and videos for surveillance or image-processing projects. The lens has a fixed focal length; close-up focusing at a distance of less than 20 centimeters from the subject is not intended.
The 5.0-megapixel resolution is sufficient for documentation and real-time image processing. Video recordings are made at 30 frames per second in 1080p resolution. For larger image sensors or higher frame rates, an alternative with different specifications must be selected.
The CSI connection via ribbon cable requires the computer to have a camera port; this is available on common models. On the software side, the usual free environment for image capture and processing is sufficient. Typical applications include real-time capture for motion detection, monitoring processes using time-lapse photography, or collecting data for image-processing training models.
Operation requires a single-board computer with a suitable camera interface and the installation of the necessary camera drivers and software libraries. Mounting is carried out using mounting holes or clips, depending on the enclosure.
Safety Information
The module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Radiation shielding is not provided. If you are uncertain about software integration or if the ribbon cable is damaged, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
