Product Description
This connection cable with JST-XH2-54 connectors connects pre-assembled modules and sensors equipped with this connector type. The 200 mm length allows distances of up to approximately 20 cm between components; extensions are required for greater distances. Identical connectors are fitted on both sides, allowing the cable to be used without modification in daisy-chain connections or between compatible hardware.
The three wires provide a supply voltage and ground connection as well as a signal pair. With 26 AWG, the cross-section is suitable for low current consumption of up to approximately 3 amperes; at higher currents, voltage drop across the cable may occur. The JST-XH2 standard provides a secure connection, preventing accidental disconnection, but can be somewhat difficult to remove by hand.
The cable is used for connections to battery modules, LED strip controllers, or current sensors in prototypes. In the field assembly of multi-sensor systems, its pre-assembled design saves time compared with soldering. Projects with more than three connection wires require multiple cables or a cable harness.
It is important to ensure that the connector type is compatible with the target modules; this connector type is not universal but is limited to JST-XH2-compatible devices. Extensions or polarity reversals must be soldered by hand if the standard cable does not match the required length or pinout.
