Product description
This plastic tubing connects components or routes media between different components. With an outer diameter of 12 millimeters and an inner diameter of 9 millimeters, it fits common connection threads and fittings designed for these tubing sizes. The tubing can be cut to any required length and connected without special tools.
The tubing conveys water, air, mild chemicals, or other non-aggressive media. Depending on the material selected, it tolerates pressures of up to approximately 6 bar and remains flexible at temperatures between minus 20 and plus 60 degrees Celsius. Kinking can be avoided by not bending the tubing below its minimum bend radius, typically 25 to 40 millimeters depending on the wall thickness.
In aquarium hobby setups, the tubing connects filters to the tank or supplies aeration. In irrigation systems, it transports water from the source to the plants. Laboratory setups and pneumatic experiments require it for supplying and exhausting gases. It is also indispensable in robotics projects with pneumatic drives or pressure reservoirs.
The length is cut from the tubing sold by the meter as needed. Depending on the interface design, hose clamps, tube connectors, or fittings are required for connection to pipes, pumps, or valves. The tubing is not suitable for high pressures above 6 bar, aggressive chemicals or oils, or steam lines.
Safety information
This tubing is not suitable for installation in household electrical circuits. Pressure buildup should only take place in closed systems; escaping media must be collected with appropriate precautions. Work on pressure vessels or uncontrolled pressure requires consultation with a qualified electrician if electronic components such as pressure sensors or solenoid valves are integrated.
