Product Description

This battery holder with clip connection supplies portable or permanently installed electronics with 6 V DC. Four AA cells support common battery chemistries such as alkaline or rechargeable NiMH batteries. The clip connection enables quick connections without soldering and can be easily combined with circuit boards or cable connectors.

The plastic housing with locking latch secures the cells against falling out. Designed for current loads of up to 2 A, the holder is suitable for medium-power consumers such as multiple LEDs with series resistors, small motors, or sensor modules. For higher current draws or continuous operation, rechargeable batteries are recommended instead of disposable batteries.

Typical applications include mobile measuring instruments, portable experimental setups for students, or powering robot prototypes. The holder can also be used as a backup power source for microcontroller boards with 6 V inputs.

A voltage regulator is required for boards with 5 V logic. The holder requires no additional assembly; batteries or rechargeable batteries must be purchased separately.
