Product description
A battery holder with a DC plug connects a 9 V block battery to electronic circuits via a soldered connection. The standardized barrel plug, with a 5.5 mm outer diameter and 2.1 mm inner diameter, fits common connector strips and power supplies, allowing the battery to be replaced without soldering.
The holder supplies an operating voltage of 9 V with sufficient current capacity for small controllers and sensor modules. The approximately 15 cm long lead allows flexible placement of the battery holder inside or outside the enclosure.
Portable projects benefit particularly from this solution, such as mobile measuring devices with sensors, portable alarm systems, or battery-powered robot prototypes. The holder also serves as a quick alternative to permanently soldered power supplies during repeated testing and development work.
A 9 V block battery is required for operation. Connecting the plug to reversed-polarity or incorrectly rated voltages must be avoided. In addition, the current consumption of the connected modules must be checked, as a 9 V battery can quickly become depleted with higher continuous consumption.
