Product description
The AV cable connects Raspberry Pi 2 B or Pi B series single-board computers to displays and audio devices via composite video and stereo audio. The 3.5 mm jack plug on the board connects to three separate RCA sockets that transmit video and the left and right audio channels.
With a cable length of 1.5 m, there is sufficient distance between the computer and display without requiring additional extensions. The gold-plated contacts provide long-term protection against corrosion, especially when the cable is frequently reconnected.
The cable enables use with older televisions and monitors that do not have an HDMI or DVI input, as well as amplifiers with RCA inputs. Typical applications include retro setups with classic CRTs, playing media projects on available equipment, or temporary test setups during development.
Compatibility is limited to the Raspberry Pi 2 B and Pi B; it is not compatible with newer versions. The cable is fully responsible for signal transmission, and a reduction in quality compared with a high-quality HDMI setup is to be expected.
Safety notice
The cable is intended exclusively for connecting the single-board computer to displays and audio devices; use in electrical circuits is not permitted. It is intended for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Work on or near household electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians.
