Product Description
This audio amplifier amplifies audio signals from mobile devices, computers, or single-board computers to a level suitable for small to medium-sized speakers. The integrated PAM8610 amplifier module uses pulse-width modulation and converts an analog input signal into two independent channels with up to 10 W per channel when used with 4-ohm speakers.
The power supply can be between 5 and 26 V, with maximum output power reached from an operating voltage of 12 V. Below this voltage, the available power decreases accordingly. The fixed gain of 20 dB is already calibrated on the board; subsequent adjustment is not предусмотрено. This allows direct connection to audio source devices with standard output levels without additional amplification electronics.
The board is suitable for portable speakers and multimedia application prototypes, such as small music boxes, wireless speakers with a specific radio module, or sound effect outputs for robotics projects. The passive design without external filter inductors reduces space requirements and vulnerability to impacts.
An audio signal is provided via the 3.5 mm jack socket. Each of the two speaker outputs is designed for impedances between 4 and 8 ohms; an impedance that is too low can thermally overload the amplifier. The power supply is connected separately and must have sufficient current-carrying capacity, especially when both channels are operating close to maximum power.
