Product description
An ATtiny13 A development board enables you to take your first steps with AVR microcontrollers without purchasing separate programming devices. The 8-bit processor and integrated USB programmer make setup and commissioning straightforward.
The board is powered and programmed via USB at the same time. The low operating voltage starting at 1.8 volts opens up scenarios using batteries or small solar cells, while the maximum of 5.5 volts also makes it directly compatible with laboratory power supplies and rechargeable batteries. The limited memory capacity of 1 kB each for RAM and flash requires compact programs, but is ideal for memory-efficient applications such as pulse counters, threshold switches, or sensor loggers.
The eight digital connections and two analog-digital inputs are suitable for manageable projects such as reading temperature sensors and controlling LED groups or signal outputs. A simple light sensor can be connected directly to an analog input, and the board can pass measured values to downstream circuits via digital outputs or store them locally.
Programming is done in C or Assembly using the widely used avr-libc and the free avr-gcc compiler. USB drivers for Windows, macOS, and Linux are available. Those using the standard development environment will find ready-made examples and bootloader code for other boards as a reference, but must adapt them to the ATtiny13 A's limited memory capacity.
Safety notice
The board is not intended for installation in household electrical circuits. It is exclusively intended for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians; if in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
