Product Description
This axial fan is a compact radial blower for heat dissipation in electronic systems and 3D printers. The 40-size format fits into tight designs and operates at voltages between 8 and 12 volts, allowing use with common microcontroller boards and power modules. The JST-2P connector connects directly without soldering, saves pins, and prevents polarity mix-ups.
The airflow of 6.5 CFM is sufficient for cooling in confined spaces, such as dissipating heat from extruder block assemblies in 3D printing, for small control modules, or for air circulation in recirculation controllers. At a lower voltage, the airflow decreases, but the fan continues to run, which can be advantageous depending on the temperature requirements. Calibration is not required.
Installation is completed using four mounting holes at the corners of the housing. For operation, all that is needed is a power source in the range of 8 to 12 volts and, in the event of a fault, a resistor or transistor for gentle shutdown to absorb voltage spikes from the coil.
Safety Information
Not intended for installation in household electrical circuits. Intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Work in the immediate vicinity of power sources requires attention to polarity and voltage resistance; if in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
