Product description
A keyboard module with five buttons enables easy input via analog signals. Each button generates a unique analog voltage signal that the analog-to-digital converter of the connected microcontroller can read directly. This eliminates the need for complex decoding in the code, as each button press directly corresponds to a known voltage value.
The module requires a 5 V operating voltage and can be connected directly to the analog inputs of a controller. If several buttons need to be queried simultaneously, simply use multiple analog inputs in parallel. The simple circuit also ensures high reliability without interference-prone multiplexing logic.
In an automation project, the module serves as an input interface for control commands, for example to select different operating modes of a robot or start measurements. In portable measuring instruments, it enables manual selection of functions without additional electronics. The keyboard module also works reliably as a simple user interface in industrial prototypes.
Operation requires a compatible 5 V DC power supply. Connecting it to 3.3 V systems requires a level shifter at the signal output. A power supply is not included.
Safety information
This module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in the household power circuit. Qualified electricians must be consulted if work is carried out in the immediate vicinity of electrical installations or if any uncertainties exist before commissioning.
