This goes with it
Description
Product Overview
- Aluminum protective enclosure for Raspberry Pi models 3 and 3B
- Heat dissipation through the metal construction without additional cooling
- Dimensions designed for tool-free assembly
- USB, HDMI, and other interfaces remain accessible
- Robust construction for continuous operation in development and hobby environments
Product Description
The aluminum enclosure protects Raspberry Pi 3 and 3B single-board computers from damage, dust, and unintended contact. The metal construction uses aluminum's thermal conductivity to dissipate heat directly, without requiring a separate heatsink. This eliminates an additional component and keeps the space required manageable.
Assembly is tool-free: the board is inserted into the enclosure from the side and fits securely. All necessary openings for USB ports, HDMI sockets, and the Micro-SD card slot are pre-cut, so no further modification is required. The GPIO header also remains accessible for external sensors and switching modules.
Applications include weather stations with continuous data collection, home automation control units operating continuously, control modules for small workshop machines, or simply hobby projects that remain at a workstation for extended periods. Wherever electronics need to be protected from contamination while the necessary interfaces must remain accessible, the enclosure provides reliable service.
Compatibility is limited to Raspberry Pi 3 and 3B; newer versions do not fit. Operation requires a power supply providing at least 2.5 A via a Micro-USB connection, which must be purchased separately.
Safety Notice
The enclosure is intended exclusively for assembling prototypes and for testing and development purposes; it is not suitable for installation in the household electrical circuit. When used with live external modules or connected directly to the mains, work must be carried out by a qualified electrician. If anything is unclear, please contact a qualified electrician before commissioning.
