Product description
A three-channel relay board makes it possible to switch 230 V devices such as lamps, heaters, or pumps from a microcontroller. Control is provided via standard 5 V logic levels, allowing direct connection to common development boards. Each channel uses an electromechanical relay and can switch up to 10 A at 230 V.
The board requires one digital output per channel for control. LEDs provide visual indication of the switching state of each relay. This allows the current state to be checked immediately without looking into the circuit. The relays have a switching frequency of up to 100 Hz, which is sufficient for time-controlled applications.
Applications include home automation, such as remotely dimming lighting or automatically enabling power circuits for heating elements. In workshops, these modules can also be used to control machines such as fans or drill presses. For weather station projects, awnings or shutters can be operated automatically when rain or wind is detected.
A separate power supply for the relay board is required to provide power for the coil circuitry. In addition, the 230 V cables must be connected professionally. Protective measures such as circuit breakers are required for operation in household power circuits.
