Product description

The geared motor is a compact direct drive for models and prototypes that require constant, easily adjustable rotational movement. The 1:200 gear ratio converts the motor's high output speed into high torque without requiring additional gearing.

When connected to a 6 V power source, the motor starts immediately. The speed can be controlled by reducing the voltage or using pulse-width modulation. The simple shaft mount directly accommodates standard shaft couplings or gears, eliminating the need for adapters and making installation straightforward.

Applications include vehicle models with all-wheel drive, laboratory-scale conveyor systems, or wind turbine demonstrators. The motor is suitable wherever smooth, low-maintenance movement is required over extended periods. Frequent high-frequency switching on and off shortens its service life.

Operation requires a DC power supply or battery power source with at least 6 V. Mechanical overload causes the motor to stall and heat to build up; the power supply must be disconnected if the motor remains blocked for an extended period. The motor is not designed for continuous operation at ambient temperatures above 40 °C.

Safety information

Make sure the power supply is connected with the correct polarity; an incorrect connection will not damage the motor, but will make it rotate in the opposite direction.
