Product description
This geared motor combines a brushed DC motor with a multi-stage gearbox to achieve high torque at moderate speeds. The 1:200 gear ratio reduces the motor speed to less than 1 revolution per second while still providing sufficient power for load and drive applications. Thanks to the dual shaft, both sides of the gearbox can be used for power output, or synchronous movements of two wheels or mechanisms can be driven.
The 6 V supply voltage enables direct connection to batteries or rechargeable batteries without a voltage converter. PWM control is suitable for continuously variable speeds, while a relay or MOSFET is sufficient for simple on-off switching. This motor is used in projects such as automated guided vehicles, model railways, lifting tables, or geared winches; it also provides sufficient output with good control for driving slewing ring bearings or slowly rotating rollers.
Operation requires a power source with at least 6 V and sufficient current capacity. The gearbox cannot withstand overloading; mechanical decoupling or a slip clutch provides protection in the event of a blockage. The dual shaft only permits synchronous use if both shafts are loaded equally.
Safety information
This motor generates high forces when blocked and briefly draws increased currents. The power supply must be equipped with suitable protective switches. The product is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and is not intended for installation in the household power circuit.
