Product description

The banana socket is a connection element designed for permanent installation in front panels, enclosures, or terminals. It consists of an insulating plastic body with a cylindrical metal contact into which standard 4-mm banana plugs can be inserted from the outside. The metal tab on the rear serves as a solder connection for the internal wiring. The set contains one red and one black socket for clear identification of the positive and negative poles in DC voltage or speaker connections, eliminating the risk of confusion during connection.

For installation, the socket is inserted through a hole in the front panel and securely fastened to the thread from the rear with a retaining nut. There is no thread on the front, providing a clean appearance without protrusions. The sockets can therefore be installed in amplifiers and speaker cabinets as well as laboratory and measurement equipment, where they serve as connection terminals for cables with banana plugs.

The mechanical connection is reusable, allowing different plug types to be changed easily. No electronics or additional functionality is required; the sockets solely provide a pluggable, permanently solderable mechanical connection.
