26-pin ribbon cable - 2x13 connector, for Raspberry Pi
This goes with it
Description
Product Overview
- Ribbon cable with a 26-pin connector for the Raspberry Pi GPIO header
- Connects the board directly or via expansion modules to sensors and actuators
- Version with two-row 13-pin connectors, populated on both ends
- Space-saving thanks to the flat cable instead of individual wires
Product Description
The ribbon cable connects a Raspberry Pi via the GPIO header directly to modules for signal acquisition or control. The flat 26-pin cable with 2*13 connectors on both ends can be routed in a space-saving manner without having to assemble individual wires separately. The polarity is defined by the connector geometry, so incorrect connections are prevented.
The cable is subject to the same electrical conditions as the Raspberry Pi's GPIO signals themselves: 3.3 V logic for the data lines. The mechanically secured connectors at both ends ensure reliable contact. Projects that control multiple sensors or switches via the GPIO header use prefabricated connection cables instead of implementing the connections with individual wires and breadboards.
The cable fits all single-board computers with a standard GPIO header on a 2.54-mm pitch, which applies to various generations and compatible boards. A distribution header or adapter board is required to connect additional modules via the same cable. The cable length determines the maximum possible distance between the board and the connected modules.
Safety Information
The cable is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. It is not intended for installation in the household electrical system. Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians.
