Product Description
The brushless DC motor provides the rotary motion required in multicopter systems or lightweight aircraft models. Its high speed at low power consumption makes it ideal for applications where weight and efficiency are crucial. The motor uses a three-phase magnetic field controlled by an electronic motor controller; mechanical brushes are eliminated, resulting in a significantly longer service life.
With 920 KV, the motor operates at full supply voltage in a speed range suitable for driving typical four- to five-inch propellers. The CW design means that this motor rotates clockwise and is assigned to a specific corner of the frame when building a multicopter, balanced by a counterclockwise (CCW) motor at the other corners. This preconfiguration eliminates the need to adjust the rotation direction electrically or mechanically.
The motor is used in racing drones with FPV systems (First-Person View), in scientific measurement flights with lightweight payloads of up to approximately 50 grams, or in the hobby sector for radio-controlled quadcopters. However, anyone carrying out occasional balancing flights will not get far with just one of these motors; a complete system requires four.
Operation requires a brushless motor controller that handles the three-phase control and electronic commutation. Power is supplied by a LiPo battery within the controller's voltage range. Mechanically, the module is light enough for radio-controlled aircraft models with a takeoff weight of under 2 kg; heavier systems require lower KV values (lower speeds) and larger motors.
Safety Notice
Rotating parts that can cause injury are present during operation; install propellers only after system testing and once the power supply has been secured. This module is intended solely for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians; if you are unsure about integrating it into larger systems, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
