Product description
This two-channel relay module switches external loads using electromagnets. The two independent relays are controlled by digital outputs of a microcontroller board and can each switch a load of up to 10 A at 250 V, for direct or alternating current.
The optocouplers galvanically isolate the weak 5 V control voltage from the switching circuits for the higher voltage. The module therefore also works with boards that have different voltage levels, as long as their digital outputs provide 5 V logic. Connection is made via standard pin headers directly to any microcontroller boards with two-pin inputs and outputs.
The module is suitable for switching tasks that need to convert digital signals into high currents, remotely controlling lamps, heaters, or pumps via a board, controlling solenoid valves in experimental setups, connecting prototypes to household appliances for testing, or time-controlled switching of loads in automated projects. Time relay functions are created through software logic on the board.
A separate power supply is required to provide the external load with power. The switching voltages must not exceed the specified limits. Solid wiring and secure mechanical mounting prevent contact wear caused by vibration.
Safety notice
Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians. The module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes, not for integration into household mains circuits. If you are unsure about the connected voltages and currents, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
