Product description
This lithium-ion charge controller protects 3-cell battery packs and automatically regulates their charging cycles. The controller monitors all three cells individually, balances voltage differences using internal balancers, and stops charging when the target voltage is reached. This allows the battery to operate safely and use its full capacity.
With a charging current of 10 A, the module supports both fast charging and continuous power supply for medium- to high-power consumers. The controller protects against overcharging, deep discharge, and short circuits without requiring additional control electronics. The charger and battery pack are simply connected directly.
The controller is used in portable power supplies for LED systems or measuring devices, rechargeable tool batteries, mobile robotics projects, and DIY solar storage systems with battery charge management. In a solar-powered measuring station, for example, the controller adjusts the connection between variable solar power and the sensitive lithium battery.
The controller requires a suitable charger for 3S packs or a regulated power source of at least 12 V to deliver the full 10 A. The controller's own operating voltage is between 3.3 and 15 V. This controller is not suitable for operating voltages above 15 V.
Safety information
Lithium-ion batteries require protection against short circuits, impacts, and heat; damaged cells must not be charged. This module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes, and is not intended for integration into power supply units or household electrical circuits. Work on or near high-power batteries, particularly when modifying wiring or enclosures, requires appropriate expertise; if in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
