Product Description

This step-up regulator increases DC voltages to higher voltage levels using an inductive switching process. The input voltage can be selected between 3.5 and 60 V, while the output voltage can be precisely adjusted using the integrated potentiometer. With a current of up to 2 A, the module is suitable for various loads in laboratory setups.

The LM2577 chip continuously regulates the switching operation to maintain the set output voltage. An LED indicates that the module is functioning. Since the input voltage can be lower than the output voltage, batteries or weak power sources can be adapted to the voltage level required by sensors, motors, or other modules.

Typical applications include powering 5 V components from 3.3 V batteries or lower input voltages, adapting USB power sources for more power-hungry loads, and operating LED strips with a suitable voltage. The module is also practical for powering single-board computers from weak sources. The housing may become warm under higher loads.

The module is designed for direct connection to prototype setups. A safe power supply on the input side must be provided separately. Depending on the application, protective devices such as fuses or current-limiting power supplies may be required.
